The American Society for Indexing (ASI) is an association committed to improving the quality of indexing and serving the needs of indexing professionals. Membership is open to all individuals interested in indexing, including: indexers, editors, technical writers, publishers, librarians, and anyone else curious about the profession and its workings.
The Chicago/Great Lakes Chapter, a committee of ASI, serves members primarily from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio.
Denise Alberts and Jim Fuhr have been elected as new co-chairs of the chapter. Thanks to Leoni McVey and Carol Roberts for their hard work and many years of service as chapter president and treasurer, respectively.
